Mangalore, what a city it was!
A lot can be said about Mangalore and its glorious past, but look at how things have changed.
The residents of Mangalore has to be given the Magasasay award for their knee biting patience. No matter what happens, we Mangaloreans has learnt the art of ahimsa!
No water...No Problem!!! No Electricity... No Problem!!! We can count on the various tanker wallas and the inverter wallas. Even they have to be fed and grown!! I guess we Mangaloreans have lost the sense of connecting! We have learnt to give away hopes for a better tomorrow! We are happy if people take us for a ride! We have begun to accept that even if there is no water, the Municipality cannot be blamed, for its their right! And Electricity? It is meant to go as soon as it comes!
Namma Naadu, Tulunadu! I wonder where all our Tulu folks are. They had such a big history!
Today Mangalore is going through the worst Energy and Water crisis and nobody is bothered!
Wow! A good way to live!
